The act of decluttering, or disposing of the things you don’t need before moving to a new condo makes sense since you’ll be bringing less by the time you arrive. Here are five tips to help you sort out the mess and make for a neater environment.

One Room at a Time

Tackling a huge task like decluttering takes time, and you might run out of steam quickly when you do the whole thing at once. Get the ball rolling by starting with the room with the most clutter, e.g., the garage or attic, and then move on from one room to another until you’re done.

Sell Items You Haven’t Used in More Than a Year

Have trouble deciding which items to throw away and which ones to keep? Consider disposing of things that you haven’t used in over a year as it’s likely to have no use moving forward. The only exceptions are keepsakes, antiques, and similar possessions.

Sell Your Items Online

Dispose of the things you don’t need faster by listing them on online marketplaces and social media. Take a high-quality photo, add a nice description and the price. Arrange for larger furniture to be picked up at your house, and smaller ones can be exchanged for money where you’re nearby.

Donate to Friends or Charity

Instead of selling or throwing functioning devices in the bin, consider donating to a local charity or giving it away to friends. You can give your devices a second lease in life and find them a new home where they could be useful.

Consider a Nearby Storage

If there’s simply too much stuff you need that won’t fit in your Lentor Mansion condo, then look for a nearby storage to keep them until you’re ready to sort again.
