The term ‘unplugging’ means abstaining from the use of devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers. While this may sound counter-intuitive as we use them on a daily basis, there are benefits to be had when you unplug while in your One Sophia condo.

Improved Creativity

There’s truth in the statement that it’s good to be bored sometimes. It’s your mind’s way of processing things and generating creativity. Unplugging usually has a negative connotation in that you don’t get anything done, but recharging is just as important if you work in a creative field.

Appreciate Nature

Stop and smell the flowers is good advice when you’re unplugging. Get out and take in fresh air as you walk around your One Sophia condo. There are many benefits of being out and about, including a rest for your eyes and some exercise along the way. It can even be as simple as opening a window and looking outside.

Introspection

Introspection is the act of critical thinking and how you can improve yourself. In today’s world, we are often so busy that we don’t have time to do this. Without any electronic distractions, you’ll find yourself attuned more and aware of what needs to be fixed.

Get Some Self-Care

In the same vein as introspection, having more free time can equal more self-care. Tend to basic hygiene, as well as wellness practices such as meditation or relaxation. Pamper yourself for a much-needed break and your body will thank you as well.

Curb Addiction

Lastly, unplugging is a way to curb addiction. Most apps and games are designed to hook you in and never let go. Detach yourself and find some other things you can do, such as nurturing your other hobbies. The habit of unplugging ensures you won’t be dependent on your smartphone or computer.
