Health is still a priority even for gamers. Playing with optimal posture, height and position is just as important as you winning a ranked match. Here are some ergonomic tips for you gamers to reduce the risk of any health problems down the line.
Sit on a Good Chair
Choose the chair for your gaming setup at the Upperhouse based on your preferences. Make sure you are comfortable. Get one that offers support to your spine, reclines, has armrests and adjustable height so you can have an optimal sitting position while you play your game for hours. Make sure it is firm, which can serve you well in the long run because the chair adjusts your position to avoid any health injuries from occurring or chronic problems regarding your back and spine.
Position the Monitor
Adjust your monitor to your eye level so you will be facing straight to your monitor without having to look down and straining your neck. Using an adjustable monitor stand will make sure that it is in the proper position for you to use and make sure the screen is not too close to your face to prevent eye strain and other eye problems.
Adjust the Table
Adjust your table to optimal table height depending on your chair’s height. The standard rule is that the arms should be in a 90 degree position when using the mouse or typing while the feet are planted flat on the floor. So if this is not the case, you can adjust your position by using an elevated desk so you can adjust the table easily, or use desk legs to fix the height and adjustment issues you may have.
Always Stay Hydrated
Dont forget to drink water every now and then. You may forget to drink water during gaming because you are in the moment where everything is intense and you are running on adrenaline. Drinking water can help you freshen up, remove fatigue, tiredness, and prevent headaches and eye strain. The normal water intake is 8 glasses a day so make sure you reach this goal even if you are busy gaming.
